Dr. Charles W. "Bill" Bailey
Bill Bailey has a unique background as both a practicing plastic surgeon for the past 33 years, a trained attorney, and a long-standing advisor to medical malpractice insurance companies. He is a past president of the Texas Medical Association and a delegate to the American Medical Association. Dr. Bailey has taught both medicine and law at prominent universities, served as a member of the board of directors of the Texas Medical Center, worked with numerous community organizations and state government advisory panels, and has authored dozens of medical and legal articles. He is known throughout the nation as an expert in the medical malpractice field and is one of the most well-known and regarded physicians in the field.
Howard Lamb
Howard Lamb is the senior officer responsible for managing Medicus Insurance Holdings Inc. and Medicus Insurance Company. In 2003-2004, Howard served as president and chief executive officer of Advocate MD Insurance Company in Austin, Texas. He served as president and chief executive officer of The Doctors' Company and MAG Mutual of Georgia. Howard started his successful insurance career in 1958 with Allstate Insurance Company. With more than 25 years in insurance, Howard has seen insurance companies come and go. As a founding member of Medicus, he brings the best practices in the industry and a strong commitment to physicians.
Sheldon Davidow
Sheldon is responsible for establishing and managing all corporate operations for Medicus Insurance Company. Prior to Medicus, Sheldon managed operations and information technology systems for Advocate, MD Insurance of the Southwest, Inc. Sheldon spent six years with The Doctors’ Company as Executive Vice President where he served in multiple roles. Sheldon’s insurance industry experience extends beyond 25 years encompassing his role as chief of staff for the California State Senate’s Insurance, Claims and Corporations Committee, a family insurance agency and a number of consulting assignments and Board memberships.
Jeff Weigl, CPCU, ARM
As Medicus' Chief Underwriting Officer, Mr. Weigl is responsible for managing the Underwriting production and client services of Medicus Insurance Company. He also oversees the Claims, Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance areas for the company. Before joining Medicus, Mr. Weigl served as Regional Vice President of Underwriting at ProAssurance, and previously as Director of Underwriting for Medical Mutual Insurance Company of North Carolina. With 25 years of industry experience in Sales, Marketing, and Underwriting, Mr. Weigl is a critical component of Medicus success.
